Prototype SMT Assembly Line for all OEM
Elcoteq offers absolute flexibility in its PCB assembly services. Surface mount technology (SMT) is not really a process that lends itself easily to low-volume PCB manufacturing.
However, Elcoteq offers a dedicated prototype SMT assembly line and service, which means that we are able to offer full production capability for anything from a one-o project and upwards. The lead times would range from one day to three days from the availability of the PCB and the full kit of parts for the prototype batches
Production SMT Assembly Lines all
OEM
As specialists in SMT technology, we currently offer High-speed Yamaha SMT assembly lines which allow us to tailor our capacity to best meet your requirements. We are capable of facilitating over 30,000 component placements per hour across the YAMAHA PCB assembly lines. This allows us to effectively provide a great service that meets your assembly requirements, whether you need a few circuit boards assembled or a few thousand, we can provide accurate placement of parts from 0201 to 50mm2. These components include micro ball grid array (BGA), thin quad flat pack (TQFP), plastic leaded chip carrier (PLCC) and many odd-form components. All of our SMT assemblies benefit from “state of the art”IR reflow and they are all 100% QUALITY checked prior to further final assembly before shipment to our customers.

Through-Hole Technology Specialists
Elcoteq has an experienced workforce that specialises in hand assembly and hand soldering of components. In addition, our staff is highly trained to IPC 610 Standards which means that they are able to provide consistently high-quality through hole PCB assembly. Inevitably, with through-hole jobs, there is an element of interpretation of the customers’ requirements and it is through our attention to detail and careful recording of the specific requirements of each assembly that we are able to consistently provide high-quality products.
In addition to offering all types of through-hole assembly, Elcoteq also provides useful additional services for the final finishing of the product, such as conformal coating and complete PCB encapsulation (potting are both ‘in-house’ options)
Box build & Final Assembly
Elcoteq has a wealth of experience in providing final box build assembly services. We have an extensive range of services in manufacturing PCBs, PCB assembly, cable preparation and cable harness manufacture. In addition, we also have many other associated services which lead to the inevitable conclusion of us combining all of these services into a complete and tested ‘ready for market’ solution. Our box build assembly service covers everything from putting a PCB assembly into a simple enclosure and connecting it to an interface, to a comprehensive machine that houses a variety of parts and sub-assemblies. Essentially, box builds include all of the other assembly processes that are involved in an electromechanical assembly, except for the production of the PCB. Box builds can be anything from simple enclosures that house PCB assemblies, complete sub-assemblies, backplanes, or even power supplies enclosed in a bespoke housing with HMI interface. Our experienced and trained staff are able to put together a tailored solution that meets your needs and requirements.
Optical Inspection / AOI
Easy Vision Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Systems for all surface mount
assembly prior to passing onto the next stage of assembly.
These systems allow us to perform:
• First o checks to ensure validity of automated assembly programme.
• Polarity and positional accuracy checks for all components.
• Solderinspection& validation.
• Statistical analysis of assembly defects to assist continuous improvement programme
• Serial numbering and batch control.
Test
Testing is a vital part of our QA strategy an allows us to check as much as possible the full validity of a product before it leaves us.
